THE Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has discontinued a case in which media personality Mutale Mwanza was dragged to court by media socialite Chichi Daisy for cyber harrasment.
This was after Chichi, Daisy, real names, Chinyimba Lusumpa, decided to have the case withdrawn after forgiving the accused.
Ms Lusumpa told the magistrate, Mbuywana Sinvula, that that the case affected her mental health and professional well-being.
“It has affected me in my Journey as a Mother, going for the option of forgiveness is for my own benefit,” she said.
The magistrate allowed the withdrawal of the case and Ms Mwanza and Ms Lusumpa are seen embracing outside.
Ms. Mwanza was charged with harassment utilizing means of electronic communication, contrary to Section 69 of the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Act.
It is alleged that on November 7, 2024, Ms Mwanza used her Facebook page- M-Nation-with the intention to intimidate, harass or cause emotional distress to Ms Lusumpa.
Ms Mwanza allegedly published derogatory words against Ms Lusumpa, whom she also accused of having an affair with a named politician.
